Butterkin®, Sida Fallax

Butterkin®, Sida Fallax

Description

Butterkin®  is a low spreading shrub (1m x 1m). It resembles a miniature hibiscus flower with striking five petalled, buttery/orange flowers that occur in prolific terminal clusters for most of the year, particularly in warmer subtropical climates.

Plant Useage

Butterkin® is very versatile as a low hedge, a tidy edging plant or a colourful filler. Butterkin® would make an ideal ground cover for that dull spot in the garden.

Growing Conditions

Butterkin® grows best in full sun but can also perform in lightly shaded areas.

Plant Care

Butterkin® responds well to regular light pruning to maintain its fresh appearance and continual prolific flowering.  It does not have any special soil/ nutritional requirements other than regular standard garden maintenance.  .
